Confederate soldier. Henry T. Wright was a 2nd Lt., New 1st Florida Infantry, Company E, serving under Captain Alexander Bethune McLeod. He was born on November 11, 1842, in Pensacola, Florida. He attended Knox Hill Academy near De Funiak Springs, Florida. The Academy, started in 1848 by the Reverend John Newton, was considered the educational career center of West Florida.
